THE BMFA SILENT FLIGHT ACHIEVEMENT SCHEMES
The aims of the BMFA Silent Flight R/C Achievement Schemes are to encourage model flyers to reach a given standard of flying ability and safety and to prove that standard to a Registered Examiner. There are two grades;
- The 'A' Certificate which may be equated to a 'safe solo' standard of flying.
- The 'B' Certificate which is designed to recognise the pilot's more advanced ability and a
demonstrated level of safety suitable for flying at a public display.
There are three sets of tests for silent flight
- SLOPE
- Slope "A"
- Slope "B"
- THERMAL
- Thermal "A"
- Thermal "B"
- ELECTRIC
- Electric "A"
- Electric "B"
The MSA has two BMFA registered Club examiners and one Area Chief Examiner.
