THE BMFA SILENT FLIGHT ACHIEVEMENT SCHEMES

The aims of the BMFA Silent Flight R/C Achievement Schemes are to encourage model flyers to reach a given standard of flying ability and safety and to prove that standard to a Registered Examiner. There are two grades;
  1. The 'A' Certificate which may be equated to a 'safe solo' standard of flying.
  2. The 'B' Certificate which is designed to recognise the pilot's more advanced ability and a demonstrated level of safety suitable for flying at a public display.
There are three sets of tests for silent flight
  1. SLOPE
    1. Slope "A"
    2. Slope "B"
  2. THERMAL
    1. Thermal "A"
    2. Thermal "B"
  3. ELECTRIC
    1. Electric "A"
    2. Electric "B"

The MSA has two BMFA registered Club examiners and one Area Chief Examiner.
